Our 2024 event will be on Sunday July 7th - Raising funds for St Lawrence, Barlow

Our 2023 event was held on Sunday 2nd July

Staves Estate Agencyand was Sponsored by Staves Estate Agency.

Barlow, a small village in North Derbyshire, welcomes visitors to various events throughout the year and provides a warm welcome, places to stay and pubs and a cafe with great food. Barlow Open Gardens is one such event not to be missed.

Each year, residents of this Derbyshire village open their stunning gardens, set within beautiful countryside and offering a diverse display with ideas for all. Cream teas,a favourite, are served at the Church.

Organised by a dedicated team of villagers, the funds raised support the work of the village church of St. Lawrence.

Our aim is to make 2024’s event even more special and with extra attractions.

The Open Gardens Team

Although we weren't able to open our gardens in 2020 and 2021, we have a Virtual Tour of the 2020 Gardens here:

Don't forget to switch to "Full Screen" view on YouTube.

2019

2019 was our 7th year of opening and the gardens ranged from small courtyards to allotments, large rambling gardens, an old hall, a hidden cottage with a mystical woodland walk and also a garden with a difference which is something special and had been in preparation for six months - it was interesting, themed, and we hope a delight for all visitors. Tea, coffee and home made cakes were on sale at the church.

Proceeds to St. Lawrence Church Fund.
